MAC ‘Dervish’ is a lovely dusky pink nude. It goes well with MAC ‘Cockney’ lipstick and even though ‘Lady Danger’ is slightly more orange toned than the others if you blend it in it will work with that too. It matches MAC ‘Petite Red’ (limited edition) lipstick perfectly. Blue toned reds are my favourite red lipsticks so this lip liner goes with a lot of them. It’s a bright pink shade that goes really well with MAC ‘Insanely It’, however I think that lipstick has now been discontinued as well! ‘Dynamo’ will however go well with any bright fuchsia pink lipstick.Īhh Ruby Woo – My most used red lip liner. I rarely use ‘Dynamo’ anymore as I don’t really wear pink lipsticks much.
MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in shade ‘Dynamo’ Saying all that it is a stunning bright orange red that goes incredible well with MAC ‘Korean Candy’ lipstick – which unfortunately I think has been discontinued. It is also so soft that sometimes the pencil can break easily and I do find it can be a bit patchy as it’s quite thick.
The ‘What A Blast’ is a Pro Longwear Lip Liner which does last longer than the other liners however that usually means that the lipstick comes off and then you’re left with just the liner which looks daft – I’d rather it all wear off evenly. MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in shade ‘What A Blast’ My favourite summer lip liner is ‘Lasting Sensation’ as it goes perfectly with MAC ‘Vegas Volt’ which is a beautiful pinky coral shade. MAC Lip Pencil in shade ‘Lasting Sensation’ I brought this lip liner to go with MAC ‘Vegas Volt’ which is a pink coral but as I said I quite often mix different shades to give the lipstick a different look. I forgot I had this lip liner until I started writing this post- So I’m glad I’ve found it again! MAC ‘Fruit Cocktail’ is an orange toned coral shade. I’ve also listed next to it what MAC lipstick goes with it – as I have a lot of those too! I don’t always wear lip liners that match lipsticks perfectly as I quite like the contrast and ombre effect having a slightly different shade or tone liner can add. Seriously if you only take one thing from this blog post it’s that everyone needs that lip liner in their life – you won’t regret it! I blogged about it a year and a half ago and it’s still one of my most popular posts each month all this time later. I’ve already blogged previously about my most used MAC lip liner that goes with EVERY nude lipstick – MAC Boldly Bare. I will never wear lipstick without a lip liner unless I’m using a liquid or a gloss and I love the quality and shade range of the MAC lip liners, so I have a fair few! They are pigmented, long lasting and generally easily to blend – I’ve listed a few exceptions below. I mean, I’ve always liked makeup since I was a wee girl and used to sneak into my parents room and use my Mum’s lipstick, but after using MAC once I was older I was seriously hooked, and it’s a brand that features heavily in my collection.
MAC was the first brand that really got me into makeup seriously. I’ve totally stolen this idea from Siobhán after reading her post – but it’s OK peeps – she’s already told me she’d love me to blog about my MAC lip liner collection too, so she’s cool with it!
